• What is the meaning of Hypsoé? Its six letters reference the ancient Greek word, Hypsos, a Greek philosophical concept considered comparable to the modern concept of the sublime, {root hypso- from Greek hupsos ‘height’, as in 'aloft', or 'on high'}. The sublime is in reference to language and literature, and also the visual arts, architecture, and theater.  Hypsoé is also an anagram of Hysope {Eng: Hyssop}, a mediterranean, aromatic and vivid plant.
